A newborn in a flood refugee camp

Every human being is entitled to good health. Health is a measure of social justice and equity( Taskforce on innovative itnernational financing for health systems,2009).
The baby was born in a flood refugee camp during the heavy rainy season of 2005 in the suburb of Dakar. The midwife caring the baby was also one of the refugees.

A hospital was also bombarded

In the Vietnam War Bach Mai Hospital, one of the National Hospitals, located at the city of Hanoi, was also bombarded in 22 December of 1972 and lost some of their medical staff and even their patients. The hospital now functions very much as a top referral and training hospital but they don’t forget their December of 22nd and built a memorial monument in the heart of the hospital.

Cold chain but warm spot

Vaccination is the key for “child survival”. And the bath should be in cold storage. So the “cold chain” for vaccination is indispensable in tropical developing countries. This small health post in a remote area has no electric supply but a refrigerator moved by oil was settled. A humble health post even without windowpane has been well cleaned and cleared up by a health agent who had worked for 32 years in country side. This Angelina's devoted contribution has kept the cold chain for children in this warm “house”(Mahajanga Province,Madagascar,2001).

Such a beautiful mouse in a forest

A tiny beautiful mouse lives in a forest of northwest of Madagascar. Even the forest is well protected by WWF program, the lives are always threatened by clearing of forests associated with slash-and-burn agriculture and by firewood collection(Madagascar,September, 2001).

Seafood cannot reach to children in poverty
